Young and Green

Young and Green
Acrylics on 6"x6"x2 1/2" wood cradle

This was painted from a photo taken of my first tomatoes that popped out last summer. I never tire of the thrill of seeing them form from seeds to small plant to flowers to that beautiful small green ball. They've been through a lot at this point but they are still green and have a ways to go. I wonder sometimes, "Am I still green?"

Ended up giving this work to wonderful friends in the carpet cleaning business. They discounted the work to the point I thought they were making nothing on the deal. Darryl, of Carpet Pros, liked this painting, which I was using to paint a duplicate in oil. So I gave it to him! I still got a great deal.
