Spring's Here!

Spring's Here!
Watercolors on Yupo 4"x4"

This little work was supposed to be a 3.5"x2.5" ATC card for trading on ATCsforall.com. I changed my mind. I love this floral and decided to keep it to sell. It's small but the message is loud and clear, Spring's Here!

In Memory

In Memory
Acrylics on 5"x7" stretched canvas

I started this one when news came out about the Lufthansa crash at the French Alps. The more I heard the more I wanted to cry. Imagine being on that plane... horrible. While listening to the news, I painted this. A single flower I discovered at Blackhawk Hardware. Forgot to get its name but here it is. This is my memorial to the victims and their families. My thoughts and prayers were mingled with the paints. I pray for comfort and peace to those who morn.

Walk Like an Ibis

Walk Like an Ibis
Acrylics on 6"x6"x3/4" wood cradle

Discovered these birds at Lake Eola Park in Orlando while visiting my daughter. What caught my attention was its long curved bill on such a small body. Also, the strut! A very proud bird! I would be too with gorgeous bill and long legs.

Even a Goose Eats Scraps

Even a Goose Eats Scraps
Acrylics 6"x6" Stretched Canvas

The Syrophoenician Woman begged Jesus to heal her demon-possessed daughter (Mark 7:25-30/Matthew 15:21-28). Jesus told her he was on this earth to first witness to the Jews. The clever woman then told Jesus that scraps fall to the floor for dogs. Could she please be one of those lucky dogs? Jesus was very pleased with her response and he did indeed heal her daughter. All of us are capable of blessing someone with whatever we have for even a goose eats scraps. Scatter some blessings today!
